Since the passage of the United Nations Convention Against Corruption in 2003, the 9th of December has been earmarked as the International Anti-Corruption Day.
The seriousness of problems and threats posed by corruption to the stability and security of societies cannot be understated. Corruption undermines the institutions and values of democracy, ethical values and justice and jeopardises development and the rule of law. In our efforts to promote and strengthen measures to prevent and combat corruption efficiently and effectively, the Cyprus Integrity Forum is organising a number of events to raise public awareness around the International Anti-Corruption Day.
