Elena Tanou

A prominent and highly respected business professional, Ms. Tanou has built and expanded a publicly listed international travel and tourism business Top Kinisis Travel Public Ltd over the past thirty seven years. Ms. Tanou holds BA in Travel and Tourism Management and is an active proponent of private sector development in the Cyprus economy.
Ms. Tanou is the Vice President of the Cyprus Integrity Forum and on the Board of the Cyprus Investment Promotion Agency (CIPA)
Ms. Tanou is a highly respected activist on matters of commercial transparency and entrepreneurship. She is the Vice President of the International Chambers of Commerce in Cyprus, former President of the Cyprus Federation of Business and Professional Women, past Vice President of the Nicosia Chamber of Commerce and Industry and past President of the Nicosia Tourism Board. She is the Cyprus European Ambassador of Women Entrepreneurs and a recipient of the prestigious Madam Figaro Business Woman of the Year Award in 2012.
She serves on the Board of the Business Advisory Council of the University of Cyprus and the University of Nicosia.
She is a founding member of the Rotary Club Nicosia Aspelia since 1995 and held the position of Deputy District Governor for the 2452 region 2017/18. She is also on the Board of Directors of World Vision.

Maria Loizou
Board Member
Maria Loizou holds a BSc in Economics from the University of Cyprus and an MSc in Economics and Econometrics from the University of Bristol. She is a CySEC Certified AML Compliance Officer and holds the CySEC Advanced Certificate.
She has a diverse professional background with extensive experience in academia, statistical analysis, and banking. She began her career as a Postgraduate Associate at the University of Cyprus before transitioning to a role as a Lecturer of Economics at a local college. She then ventured into the field of statistical analysis, working as a Statistician at ACNielsen Amer. Afterwards, and for 22 years, she worked for the Bank of Cyprus Group, holding various positions and as such, gaining expertise in different aspects of the banking sector but also becoming versatile in an ever-changing financial environment. Her last position at Bank of Cyprus was Manager of Strategy Operations and Analytics of the Compliance Division.
Since September 2022, she took a different career path as she left the banking profession and took up teaching economics to lyceum students thus sharing her knowledge and passion for the subject.

Dr. Elena Niki Karletidi
Board Member
Dr. Elena Niki Karletidi is an experienced business lawyer with over 15 years of experience in legal advisory, regulatory compliance, and risk management across the financial sector in Cyprus, Greece, and the EU. She is a Director at ENAH Services Ltd and an academic lecturer, recognised for her expertise in EU and Cyprus financial regulation.
Currently, she is a Director of ENAH Services Ltd, a firm providing legal and regulatory compliance consultancy, regulatory audits, and professional training to financial institutions and corporate clients. She is also a lecturer at the University of Cyprus and the Open University of Cyprus, Law Schools. Elena’s deep expertise, combined with academic insight and practical experience, ensures clients receive trusted guidance that mitigates risk, enhances governance, and supports sustainable business growth in a digitally innovative financial environment.
Elena specialises in Commercial, Company, Banking, Contract, Investment, and Consumer Protection Law. She holds an LL.B. from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, an LL.M. in International Commercial Law, and a PhD in Law. Her doctoral research on Crowdfunding Law in the digital age, has been published as a practical legal guide, providing an innovative and groundbreaking legal analysis of the legal framework for Crowdfunding in EU and Cyprus.
She has served as an advocate in Greece, representing clients in complex court litigations, covering the whole range of civil, commercial and corporate cases, as a Legal Advisor to credit institutions in Cyprus, and held senior roles in regulatory compliance at systemic banks in Cyprus.
Elena is a certified mediator and a professional member (MiCA) of the International Compliance Association. She is a Founding and Board Member of the Cyprus Compliance Association and a member of the Cyprus Centre for Alternative Dispute Resolution.
