Dr Stelios Hadjichristofis

Dr. Stelios Hadjichristofis is a Specialist Orthopaedic Surgeon at the American Medical Centre in Nicosia with more than 22 years experience.
He holds a Masters of Medicine in Orthopaedic Surgery (MMed (WITS) Orth.) and a diploma in Research Techniques from the University of the Witwatersrand, in Johannesburg South Africa. He is a fellow of the College of Surgeons of South Africa – FCS (SA) Orthopaedics.
He was awarded the SYNTHES prize for the best Orthopaedic Registrar in the Johannesburg Group of Teaching Hospitals, and received the SAHETI (South African Hellenic Educational and Technical Institute) award. Dr. Hadjichristofis was also awarded the Smith & Nephew Arthroscopy local traveling bursary and the Smith & Nephew Overseas travelling grant in Arthroscopic Surgery – in the Arthroscopic and sport centres in Boston (Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard University) and Pittsburgh University in the United states of America.
He has a special interest in Ethics in Medicine and deals with the evaluation of incidents involving serious injuries, as well as issues of dereliction of duty and negligence.
